| Sandvox Web page designer improves customization
Karelia Software has released Sandvox 1.2, an updated version of their visual Web page editing software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Sandvox costs $49 for the regular edition or $79 for a pro version. Sandvox makes Web site design easier by using a template-based system that allows you to drag and drop your own content into place. You can publish the resulting site on .Mac or any other service provider, incorporate "pagelets" that provide micro content specific to your site, add content such as a weblog, RSS feed, shared photos and podcast. The software incorporates more than forty different designs. New to Sandvox 1.2 is the ability to customize selected designs by substituting the banner graphics with your own imagery. Eleven of the 43 designs included with Sandvox support this new feature.
