The Mac Guy: Potential buyer wants big sound, and he can have it
Hey Mac Guy: I'm still looking but haven't made the leap to Mac yet so I was wondering if you could answer a question for me to help me jump. From my Windows machine, which is equipped with a Sound Blaster Live Platinum card, I get BIG, BIG sound, but when I look at Macs there is hardly a mention of sound. Even at the online store when you are configuring a new Mac, they don't even offer a sound option. I did see something about speakers built in to the iMac but I equate built-in to poor quality. So what about sound cards for the Mac. Can you get big sound out of a Mac?
